Indeed Nanoblur
Before applying I recommend you moisturize first so it smooths on a bit easier and more smoothly. I skipped this step the first time but will start doing it from now on. You don't have to be particular about how you apply, just spread it on evenly and apply makeup. What do you ladies think? Think you'll try Nanoblur?

Café Escapes BzzCampaign!

Ok. I am in more than one BzzCampaign obviously...and this one I really had to share with you. This campaign is for Café Escapes and it is delicious! Thanks to BzzAgent and Café Escapes I got to try several new flavors for free. I got two packs of Café Escapes flavors with 4 K-Cups in each pack. The first pack included 2 Café Vanilla and 2 Café Caramel flavored K-Cups. The vanilla was amazing but it was pretty much the same as the international French Vanilla Café instant coffee. The Caramel flavor is instant coffee as well (they all are) but it was exceptional. It tasted buttery and sweet and amazing. I don't know how it would be possible to tell you in words...you will just have to try it for yourself!
The second pack contained four different flavors, Chai Latte, Café Mocha, Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa, and Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa. My favor in this box has to be the Chai Latte. It was delicious. Just enough spice and sweetness. I shared the milk and dark hot cocoa's with hubby and they were like regular hot cocoa's...great but nothing that couldn't be achieved with a cheaper packet of cocoa. I am enjoying the cup of Café Mocha right now as I sit here typing this and it's pretty darn good as well...and that's coming from someone who isn't at all thrilled with mocha!
If I were you I would definitely give the Café Escapes a try! They really are delightful! I'm not sure if you can get the caramel flavor cheaper in a tin like you can the French Vanilla Café vs. Café Vanilla but I am going to look and let you know. I don't mind running water through my Keurig into a cup to make it hot and then adding the instant powder to get the same flavor for less so I'll stick to the cheaper, tinned variety for that one.

Schick Hydro Silk Review

I know it's been a really long time since I have blogged on here! I miss getting to talk with you all. I decided to make my comeback by telling you about a fun and amazing product that I got to try through BzzAgent! I got a campaign to try the Schick Hydro Silk razor. This razor is great! I love how my legs feel after I use it. I don't need to moisturize when I get out of the shower because of the great moisturizing serum. The serum is great. I can shave without shaving cream when I'm in a hurry, although shaving cream makes it even more luxurious! It's slick and helps the razor glide across my legs. Who can argue with anything that makes shaving easier and gets you a closer shave. Feel free to ask me about anything that you're curious about. I love talking about this razor!

Spinning Time!! I'm a spinner now!
Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Hubby went off to get it today. It was a fairly long drive...about 45 minutes to an hour to get to her...and he loaded up the roving and gave her some cases of water (not sure why but hey, it MAY count as a payment?) and he left.
That was at 3:30pm and he came home at 11pm and tells me to go out and get the roving so I go out and this is what was in the trunk for me!! :
Holy hot potatoes!! Isn't that nuts?! It's beside my 6.5 foot tall Christmas tree for size comparison. I'm going to be spinning this roving for the rest of my life but it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! The pics were taken in really bad light but it's a lot prettier than it already looks. You'll have to trust me, LOL!
Learning to spin....
Not all that great huh? It came out very thick and thin but it averaged about a DK weight so I assumed I would get a worsted weight yarn but that did NOT happen. It came out a heavy bulky. I think I need to add more twist when I'm plying. I almost gave up because it looked hideous but I was told by a friend that I need to walk before I can run and to try again so I said ok and bought a new spindle so I had a reason to spin...but then I decided, last night, to try again and see what happened on my original spindle since my new spindle won't be delivered for 3-4 more days yet and this is what I got:
Much better right?! I think so. You can definitely see the difference in thickness from the pictures. I'm so glad that I'm learning to get thinner yarn. It's still a bit thick and thin but it's varying between lace weight and thick lace weight. Not too bad right?! I assume that it will be fingering weight when I'm done with the plying but who really knows.

Bad....BAD....Blogger!!
I had my new father-in-law and step son come to visit from Ohio for a week and a few days so that took most of my time and I was keeping them company when my hubby had to go to work all week long as well. It was nice seeing them but SO stressful with the pregnancy and all that going on.
Then we've been running around like crazy because the holidays are when my hubbys workload really pics up and with the bad economy he's really having to work too. Hopefully he'll get a LITTLE bit of time off before Christmas Eve and Christmas so we can have some more family time!
I finished the body of the baby boy jacket. All that's left now is sewing up the hood and knitting the sleeves. I need to find three really cute buttons that look good on the grey and work for my baby boy on the way. :) I was thinking of using the blue heart buttons but I'm just not sure that they are going to look all that great but who knows. Maybe I can talk hubby into button shopping? Either way I won't need buttons for a few weeks with all the other things I have going on knitting-wise so I guess I have time to think about it.

Pregnancy Pics - 1
This one was taken around 10/17/2008. I think that date is right because it was the day after our first ultrasound so I would have been 13 weeks, 1 day at that point.
The second pic was taken today, 11/11/2008. Today I am 16 weeks, 5 days. Apparently over the last month I have popped out like a crazy person. Insane right?! Lets hope it's just because it's my second pregnancy, lol. They say you show sooner with the later pregnancies.Monday, November 10, 2008
My First Try at Koolaid Dying
I was SO worried that I was going to mess up the yarn that I just went and used lion wool from walmart. I know I spent only 2-3 dollars for it so it would be ok if I killed it, lol.
I'm sorry I didn't take pics for you guys the whole way thru but I will definately let you know exactly what I did. I know I like when people post that stuff incase I love their colors :)

I used on packet of Grape Koolaid on this skein. I mixed the packet in with about a cup of water in a square pyrex bowl, put in the yarn when the koolaid was WELL mixed in, added water to cover the yarn. I added the yarn dry without soaking because I wanted the color to vary a little. I then put the bowl and yarn in the microwave three times on 2 minute intervals. I left it alone in the bowl and let it sit in the microwave while I went to the gym and when I got back I gently squeezed it out and hung it to dry. In the morning it was totally dry and ready and here it is :)
So what do you all think, did I do a good job? Next time I want to do some sock yarn and make it self striping so we'll see where that takes me :)

SP13 Questionaire!
- I like anything that is wool or bamboo, etc. I just don't like acrylic yarn but anything that is a natural fiber is great!
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
- My needles go in the Knitpicks binder that came with the set and I store my crochet hooks which I only use when I need something REALLY fast as a gift...in a toothbrush holder.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
- I've been knitting for about 3 years now. I always wanted to knit but never knew someone that could and one day my aunt told me that her daughter was learning at a library and I asked her to teach me. She only knew how to do the long tail cast on and the knit stitch but she taught me all she knew and I taught myself all the rest online using videos and from books that I picked up at the local book store.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
- Nope but I probably should, lol.
5. What's your favorite scent?
- I like vanilla, most florals....chocolate, lol. I'm not too picky, just don't like sweet pea.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
- I'm diabetic...usually I can get away with candy but I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd child...so I try not to snack as much. I DO like diabetic, sugar free candy they sell at walmart though. Oh!!!!! and I would NOT be opposed to ANY type of sour candy. I love those sour war heads, sour gummy candies, etc. I can't go past them in the store without grabbing some!
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
- I crochet when I need to but it's definately not my favorite. I'm a knitter at heart. I would like to try jewelry making and quilting but I don't even own a sewing machine so I guess I'll be waiting on that one, lol.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
- I like pop/top 40's type music, some rap but nothing to hard core, 80's music.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
- I'm an equal oppertunity color lover, lol. I like almost everything!
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
- I am 24, married and have a 4 1/2yo son named Andrew and a baby on the way. We find out what the sex of this baby is on Nov. 25th and we can't wait. Fingers are crossed for a girl! We can't really have pets because my husband is allergic to almost everything BUT we did find out he's not allergic to rats....and we have 2. A siamese rat that looks just the same as a mini siamese cat, and a nekkid rat. They do live in a cage outside on our balcony and we wash our hands after handling them so they aren't around anything inside.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
- Not so much anymore because we live in Northern California now instead of Ohio but I certainly appriciate anything :)
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
- I LOVE to knit socks. I'm a sock addict.
13. What are you knitting right now?
- This could be a LONG list. I'm knitting a pair of socks for my son, a pair for me, a baby sweater that is unisex, a sweater for me when I'm NOT pregnant, thinking about another pair of socks for me, a scarf as a Christmas present, and dishcloths that are also Christmas presents.
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Certainly! I like everything that is handmade. Makes me feel special that someone made something with just me in mind! :)
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I like all needles really. I like circs most because the straights hurt me to knit with....but still want to try the knitpicks harmony straights, lol. I like metal needles for socks because small needles break....and bamboo is great for other things...never had a bamboo circ...hrm....and not so big on plastic. They bend and I end up having to throw them away.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
- I DID finally buy a ball winder....but no swift still. I wrap the hank around my feet and wind it a little at a time until I have the entire ball done, lol. Means I can use all those beautiful hanks I've had sitting around!
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
- Probably a year or maybe more. I started an Hour Glass sweater from Last minute Knitted Gifts for myself but then I put it down and forgot then moved to Cali and then got pregnant so I decided to wait until the baby is here to work on it since it won't fit until after then....but I may get working on it. Just gotta make a sleeve and a half then add them on and knit the shoulder part.
18. What is your favorite holiday? What winter holiday do you observe?
- I think my favorite holiday is Christmas. I love giving people things that I made for them by hand and seeing their faces when they see it's handmade. It makes me feel like I did something really special for them!
19. Is there anything that you collect?
- Nope...Not really. I DO collect yarn, does that count?
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
- Oh my gosh...I want to make something out of Noro SOOOOOOOOO BAD. I've not used Noro yet but I see it often and the colors amaze me. I love the changes in color. I'd love to try some yarns like panda silk, yarntini, yarn pirate, cherry tree hill, and other socks yarns like those that I haven't gotten to try. I currently have subscriptions to Creative Knitting and Knit 'N Style. I love knitting magazines and I'd get more subscriptions if I could talk hubby into helping me buy more, lol.
21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
I want to try knitting 2 socks on 2 circs but I need the proper needles for it. I know I can find out HOW to do it online...just need to get me some good needles in sock sizes to try it out.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
- I am indeed! My foot is a size 8 US. I'm not really sure what the measurments are but I've never made a pattern that didn't fit me in the leg and gusset so I guess I'm just "normal" lol.
23. When is your birthday?
- Feb. 11th. I am FINALLY in a SP that will be going on during my birthday! lol.
24. Are you on Ravelry? If so, what's your ID?
- I am on ravelry, my name there is Kellye8498.

First Baby Dr Appt.
They wouldn't let my hubby in because they don't let kids in the office around the pregnant people and we didn't have anyone to watch him for the appointment. I know he'll come for the next appointment though so he'll get the hear it too :)
I'm due April 23rd and no, we don't know what we're having yet. I will definately let everyone know what we're having when we find out though! Now it's time for some preggy time napping, lol. I will include knitting in my next post!!

Ok, So It's Been Awhile!
Those are the main parts that have happened, lol. I'm sure there is more but I'll add as I think of them. Now to show off the knitting I've gotten done. I decided that I WAS going to do some UFO finishing and I did so here they are:
Pixie Hat from Baby Knits...although it DOES still need tassels...
Summer Halter by Knit This...that's right! Three years in the making and it's DOOOOOONE!

Feather And Fan Baby Sweater from 101 Designer One Skein Wonders
Pair Of Socks by Myself
Star Blanket for Andrew

That's about it so far but I think I really got quite a bit done in the way of finishing things that I'd started long ago. I'm about a day away from finishing my baby cardigan from Mason Dixon Knitting too. Wish me luck on that cause it's at the bottom of a pile somewhere, lol.
I'm knitting a baby jacket now that is from Knitting Pure and Simple Called the Easy Baby Cardigan. It's looking good but I haven't done enough to post a pic so look for that coming soon!

WOW, been a long time!
I went to Vegas with my boyfriend for New Years and he sent the pics over today and they all made me laugh because we look SO silly so here we are in the hotel room the night of New Years. It was just prior to the fireworks :)

And here is Andrew once the fireworks started....
Here is what we are all looking at. YAY for fireworks!

Ravelry and Finished Objects
I finished Andrews Christmas Tree Hat last night and he wore it to school this morning...even though it's not December, lol. He LOVES it. I just hope that he brings it home in one piece!
I also found some batteries FINALLY and got some pics of the Forest Canopy Shawl. I'm SUPER excited about it and it came out looking great. I may have to block it again because I'm not totally sure that it came out as big as it COULD have but we'll see I suppose!
I'm super excited that I can wear it around now. I hope that I get to wear it around a little more before winter starts and it just isn't enough to keep me warm...who am I kidding? It's already now enough to keep me warm. We've already had SNOW! Eck! Not yet weather people! NOT YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!

Yarn Porn!!!
I can tell, you're excited! Don't worry I was too! Now wipe the drool, you're embarrassing yourself :) Since you all know that I love you...and because I love this yarn seller...the owner even offered me advice over the phone on how many stitches and what needles she uses to get the yarn to stripe fairly well. They are super polite, super helpful. They also wrote me a follow up email to ask if I got the yarn and how I like it. If that's not caring service I don't know what is. Heck, she even sent one hank while she was on VACATION!
Without further a-do...she SOOOOOO deserves my plug for her store! I will be ordering from her many more times!

I now leave you with yet another SUPER cute pic of Panda:
Have a great night guys and happy knitting!!!!

What went wrong today? Let me just share...
-My son had to go to the Dr. today...diagnosed with Ear Infection and Anemia
-Dr said my son needed bloodwork (enough said right?) so I took him and it was awful with the lady losing his vein and having to wiggle the needle around to get it in again each time he moved.
-My blood sugar was high all day today.
-My insulin pump BROKE today...yup, that nifty thingy that costs 9000.00
-My pump is NOT under warantee anymore I found out.
-My insurance will fight paying for a replacement I was also told...and it may take months to get a new one.
-Andrew just started throwing up...and has thrown up 4 times in the last hour. :(
Only silver lining? The guys are going to fight HARD for me to get my new pump and I trust that they will get me one and they are sending me a loaner pump tomorrow asap so I don't die. I'm hoping that my insurance covers a new one because if not I have to pay a 250.00 restocking fee at the end of the 3 months I get the replacement pump for. If I get a replacement pump with the company then I don't have to pay the fee at all so that would be great.
Ok, so who was the pain in the ta ta's who wished ALL this bad luck on me today?!
